We decided that within our garden we wanted a selection of mainly potted plants that we could place within our garden beds which were made up of decorative slate, wood chipping, log roll and various decoative ornaments.
We designed some basic ranch style looking garden troughs that matched our surrounding fence and patio area so that we could house some large potted plants and enhance their look by being in an attractive trough. After purchasing different types of potted plants, we simply use the basic plastic pot they come in or even more durable pots to keep the plant in and then simply drop the pot into one of the deluxe troughs. This way we can easily move our plants around the garden when ever we want.
After making several different sizes and displaying them around the garden, we had neighbours, friends and family enquiring about them as they were slightly different to anything else on the market and they thought that the troughs really added to look of the garden.
This spurred us on to design a couple of different style troughs and we decided that other people may also be intersted in them for their patio, decking or garden beds.
